At JESS3, we are heavily inspired by things like the digital activism around the Iranian Election (tagging and green avatars abounded). Wanting to do something impactful and memorable, the team at JESS3 brainstormed a number of solutions. Our final idea was to make a browser plugin which dripped oil from your browser when you searched "BP" and also turned photos relating to the oil spill to grey-scale. We also have been working with organizations like Citizen Gulf and the National Wildlife Foundation to generate donations and awareness for their Deepwater-focused efforts.
