World Breastfeeding Week 2013

The Project:
August 1-7 is the World Breastfeeding Week. World Health Organization teams up with JESS3 to create series of snackable graphics to encourage breastfeeding and support moms to do it. The graphics are available in Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

Our Methodology:
The breastfeeding series introduces tips to support moms for breaskfeeding by using friendly tones and cute hand-drawing style. The series features guidances for breastfeeding moms, advice for new dads, suggestions for friends/family, and recommendations for colleagues in workplace. The series are primary used to reach out to external audiences during World Breastfeeding Week, especially through Facebook to raise awareness of the need to support breastfeeding moms.

Result:
The graphics has resulted in increasing social engagement on WHO’s Facebook account.

Launching a blog in today’s over-saturated web space is no easy feat. To do so successfully is even more remarkable. Eloqua, partnering once again with JESS3, recognizes some of the best blogs launched within the past two years in The Blog Tree: New Growth, a follow-up to the noted original released in late 2010.

JESS3 Featured by Fast Company Co.CREATE for Role in Infinite Atlas

Infinite Atlas is, in the simplest terms, "an independent research and art project seeking to identify, place and describe every possible location in David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest." In broader terms, it’s an infinitely absorbing marriage of literature and rich location-based data. The map is the work of Washington-based writer, and dedicated Infinite Jest fan, William Beutler. [...] The scope of the project meant Beutler brought in a number of creative partners, including agency JESS3 and DC web development company RedEdge, which helped bring the interactive map to life.

JESS3 and Zoetica Media Visualize The State of Influencer Theory

To illustrate Geoff Livingston's findings about influence, the author partnered with JESS3 to visualize the State of Influencer Theory through a dynamic infographic that outlines the different phases Influencer Theory on the Social Web has taken over the last ten years, from Malcom Gladwell’s Tipping Point in 2000 to the current movement: Leaderboards.

JESS3's TLD Visualization Featured in the Washington Post

As ICANN prepared to make a big Top Level Domain-related announcement in early 2011, JESS3 was commissioned by the Washington Post to bring a visual storytelling angle to the changing tides of domain names. The challenge was how to give an "out with the old, in with the new" feel. As the TLD story continues to unfold, JESS3's art is as relevant as ever. Notes Washington Post reporter Hayley Tsukayama: "The organization tasked with regulating the Web’s domain names — that’s everything to the right of the dot in a URL — released its list detailing who has applied for new Web suffixes Wednesday. Companies who applied for new addresses include Apple, Amazon, Google and Microsoft as well as prominent firms such as Macy’s, Wal-Mart and Tiffany. Each application cost the companies $185,000."

The Workplace Zodiac Infographic by JESS3 and Mindjet Featured on Visual.ly

Infographic and data visualization community Visual.ly featured The Workplace Zodiac, an infographic created by JESS3 for Mindjet, on its front page. Outlining the dynamics of different Work Personality Types, the infographic was the final piece of Mindjet’s Workology series, which examines every team member’s role for maximizing team success. Although the project’s original intention was to drive brand awareness, Mindjet incorporated the series into their sales team’s efforts as well. The infographic is now in the top 5% of Business content on Visual.ly.

Amnesty International and JESS3 Team up for Anniversary Infographics

JESS3 had the honor of helping leading human rights protection non-profit Amnesty International celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with the creation of five data visualizations. This collection of infographics aims to inform the public about some of the issues Amnesty International is most passionate about as well as the organization's history itself.

JESS3 Animates Mozilla's Firefox 4 Release

In support of Mozilla's release of the latest version of its browser, Firefox 4, JESS3 crafted a minute-long spot to highlight its exciting new features. Using advanced digital-animation techniques, the video simulates a papercraft production. Vibrant visuals, coupled with the lively original soundtrack and personable voice over, educate viewers about the non-profit’s latest launch.

New Conversation Prism Released!

For the third year in a row, Brian Solis and JESS3 have partnered to map out the social media landscape. First launched in 2008, the "v3.0" of the Conversation Prism reflects the changes the social media world saw in the past year.
