Skype Growth Infographic

The Project: To visualize the explosive growth of the Skype for Android app, the video-calling titan, Skype, approached JESS3 to create an informative infographic showcasing the company’s latest download data. The featured statistic is Skype for Android’s total number of downloads — which surpasses 70 million.

Methodology: The challenge was to build from the existing signature brand identity and develop a compatible visual language to contain the idea. Additionally, our team aimed to encompass and highlight the extraordinary increase in usership in a manageable form. The result is beautiful mashup of illustrative elements and real phone screenshots, which creates a clean and clear presentation of the data highlighting Skype’s phenomenal growth on Android.

Brad Cohen Joins #MMchat As Special Guest

JESS3’s Coachella Infographic Featured on The Huffington Post

The Huffington Post’s Los Angeles vertical spotlighted “Coachella by the Likes,” JESS3’s infographic examining Coachella’s roster by number of “Likes” each band has on Facebook. We matched the number of Facebook fans per musical act with their graphic presence on the annual Coachella lineup poster. Making use of the Facebook-liking, data-driven generation, the resulting visualization triggered insightful discoveries about the festival’s lineup. The Huffington Post used our findings to surmise whether “Coachella's iconic poster [does] justice to the most popular acts when it comes to prominence and font size.”

JESS3 Founders Named to Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30

JESS3 CEO and Founder Jesse Thomas along with President, COO and Co-founder Leslie Bradshaw are included in Inc.'s list for America's 30 Coolest Entrepreneurs Under 30 (2012). Along with being included in the list, Inc's J.J. McCorvey covers JESS3's rise to its present day status, "JESS3 is now packing up and moving to Los Angeles, and has developed a specialty in data visualization -- the company employs tactics like stop-motion animation, infographics, and puppetry (yes, puppetry) to present large sets of information for clients like Google, Nike, and ESPN."

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation (NCF) announced JESS3's Co-founder, President & COO Leslie Bradshaw as a U.S. Chamber Fellow for 2012-2013. The prestigious program assembles experienced thought leaders and business professionals to aid in identifying emerging issues that will impact the business community within the next two to five years. Bradshaw’s areas of inquiry will be: Female entrepreneurship, millennial leadership and the impact of social technologies on the United States.
