MTV Taps JESS3 as Digital Partner for the First O Music Awards

MTV — the network that has defined the music industry for 30 years teamed up with digital partner JESS3 to give a voice to the people with the inaugural O Music Awards. In celebration of the new ways we all experience and consume music, the awards show was designed to be Open, Ongoing and Online — pressing pause twice a year to recognize and reward fans, artists and technologists.

JESS3 Visualizes Tech Cocktail's Winning Mix

Wanting to share the great takeaway with the rest of the world, Tech Cocktail’s founders Jen Consalvo and Frank Gruber worked with JESS3 to visualize advice given by the speakers at their Washington DC "Startup Mixology" Conference in the shape of their logo’s signature martini cocktail glass.

JESS3 worked closely with foursquare to build a custom map visualization of Election Day check-ins that access over 108,000 official polling locations thanks to the Voting Information Project (Google x The Pew Center on the States).

Washington Business Journal Covers JESS3 HQ Move to LA

As JESS3 begins to settle in its new Los Angeles headquarters, The Washington Business Journal announces the void it will leave in its former Washington D.C. home. President, and COO Leslie Bradshaw, along with CEO and Co-Founder Jesse Thomas moved to California in early June. WBJ Reporter Bill Flook writes, "JESS3 is going out West, where the clients are near and the talent is plentiful." Flook continues, "The reasons behind the relocation are predictable. JESS3 works for some big-name tech and media clients." Last year alone, 93% of JESS3's revenue came solely from their West Coast clients. As Bradshaw states in the article, "It’s just nice to be a little bit closer to the clients we serve."

The infographic both celebrates and informs others about the freelance lifestyle, detailing the numerous benefits of being your own boss, but also illustrating some of the pitfalls. As Allegra Tepper writes in the Mashable article, "The study however concluded that overall, freelancers seem pretty happy with the career move." Another notable mention in the article as a reflection of the Mind of a Freelancer infographic was the longer a person freelances, the happier they are with the decision.
