Email Personalities

Project
Ever wondered who still uses AOL? Microsoft did, too – they developed a study exploring the different characteristics of people who use AOL, Yahoo!, Gmail, and Outlook.com email domains. The series of snackable graphics we produced for them proves what many already assumed: young, tech-savvy people tend toward Gmail and Outlook.com…not so much toward AOL.

Ezra Klein: The Big Economic Boost of a Visit from POTUS, in One Graphic

"How much of a boost does a business get from a president’s visit? After the folks at the Washington sandwich shop Taylor Gourmet got a visit from President Obama on May 16, they decided to crunch the numbers and find out. President Obama spent exactly 15 minutes at Taylor Gourmet. That visit was enough to boost the stores’ sandwich sales by 15 percent. Orders for the Spruce Street (Obama’s hoagie of choice) jumped from 21 each day to 53 after the President’s visit. More in a very comprehensive infographic drawn up by design firm JESS3, after the jump."

JESS3 Featured in AdAge Article on 'Adland's New Era of Specialization'

JESS3 President, COO and Co-founder Leslie Bradshaw talks about our company's focus on data visualization, how it has given us a unique relationship with brands and platforms, and what it has meant to deviate from our core offerings in search of new revenue streams. "Our success has come from being best-in-class at one thing as opposed to being good at a lot of things," said Ms. Bradshaw. "We don't want to lose that as we go forward. It's tempting as clients ask us to do things two or three degrees to the right or left."
