Working closely with the Google Translate team, JESS3 designed and animated this 2 minute and 25 second video to walk the viewer through each step of how the service really works. From a waving friendly elf, to a buoyant soccer ball, to a thinking computer with changing objects in its thought bubbles, we worked to use simple, playful and accurate elements to reflect the complex and yet simple solution that Google Translate embodies.

Mashable Features JESS3’s Novel “Old School” Approach to Marketing at SXSW

Mashable highlighted JESS3’s lo-fi approach to self-marketing at SXSWi 2013: posters. The site reported that for a conference positioned around new trends and cutting-edge technology, posters remain an effective and popular means of marketing. Tech start-ups have to compete for top-of-mind exposure at the annual interactive festival, driving companies to lace-up their shoes and go “old school” with marketing visuals. Mashable quoted CEO and founder, Jesse Thomas, as a leader in this trend, and someone who knows the “fight for space” is worth the return via logo exposure and business inquiries.

As an official production partner at this year’s highly anticipated LeWeb ’11 Conference, JESS3 attended the conference to contribute what its best known for: beautiful data visualizations. The catch? The infographics would be created in real-time. With the help of data partners Radian6, the JESS3 team created an infographic for each day of the conference using the topics discussed by the panelists in attendance as well as the topics most widely discussed in the social media.

JESS3 Helps Google Visualize the Voters' Shift from TV to Devices

The POLITICO's Emily Schultheis reported on Google's announcement surrounding the types of information voters are paying attention to, noting that "their findings show the extent to which Americans have moved toward online and mobile media and away from traditional TV." Schultheis added: "The post is an extension of Google's 'Four Screens to Victory' concept for campaigns, which outlines the ways voters use four screens to get their political information: TV, computer, mobile and tablet." The infographic that was released along side the report was designed by the JESS3 team.
