Samsung and the Dan Marino Foundation launched a fundraising campaign based on social actions on foursquare, Facebook and Twitter, earning $5 each. JESS3 stepped in to design both an infographic and a web site to educate people on both Autism and its impact on thousands of people but how the fundraising mechanism itself worked.
The Mind of a Freelancer Infographic sees frontpage coverage from our friends over at Mashable. The infographic both celebrates and informs others about the freelance lifestyle, detailing the numerous benefits of being your own boss, but also illustrating some of the pitfalls. As Allegra Tepper writes in the Mashable article, "The study however concluded that overall, freelancers seem pretty happy with the career move." Another notable mention in the article as a reflection of the Mind of a Freelancer infographic was the longer a person freelances, the happier they are with the decision.
Called “The Essential Guide to Facebook Emoticons,” The Next Web premiered JESS3’s graphic outlining how to create emoticons in Facebook messages, comments and chats. Displaying everything from Chris Putnam to a penguin, the emoticons and their keyboard shortcuts give users a wide breadth of fun options. As noted by The Next Web, JESS3’s graphic reveals the tricks of the keyboard shortcut trade to solve an “age-old problem” — expressing one’s excitement, or penguin obsession, through Facebook of course.
Our latest release is another partnership with GE, a follow up to our "Future of Solar" visualization released earlier this month. The Tower Bridge Infographic outlines the history of one of London's most recognizable landmarks from its opening over 100 years ago, in 1894 to present day, where the bridge sees as many as 40,000 pedestrians and motorists pass over it each day.

JESS3 could not be more proud to have helped contribute to this year's big win for Samsung at SXSW as the lead agency behind the design, development and curation of their #smartwall. We also loved that the Fast Company reporter Greg Fernestein clued in on Samsung and these brands as ones who have opted "for hands-on experiences and utility at SXSW" -- the new model of marketing that aims to empower, aid and co-create with consumers.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation (NCF) announced JESS3's Co-founder, President & COO Leslie Bradshaw as a U.S. Chamber Fellow for 2012-2013. The prestigious program assembles experienced thought leaders and business professionals to aid in identifying emerging issues that will impact the business community within the next two to five years. Bradshaw’s areas of inquiry will be: Female entrepreneurship, millennial leadership and the impact of social technologies on the United States.
After being on the ground for the initial primaries, our JESS3 team ran the Google Politics and Elections War Room for South Carolina from Google’s DC office. We've been helping visualize Google search data for the 2012 Elections, and the data for this primary shows a new story: Newtmentum.
